Oct 27, 2014· Here's my question: inside my shower stall, I ripped down the tiles and drywall, hung a moisture barrier, and then hung cement board on the walls and ceiling. The walls have been tiled and grouted. Now, back to the ceiling. The beams are about 24" inches apart. Is this going to be a problem? Do I really need to rip down my newly-hung cement board?
