Analytical solutions are presented for calculating sedimentation and useful life of reservoirs using the trap efficiency relationships. Empirical equations are fitted to Brune's trap efficiency curves and these equations are combined with the differential equation of the rate of reservoir sedimentation to produce the final solution.
